For mass-produced parts, automated and semi-automated lathes have been used to automate the production process. However, automation has always been a challenge for parts produced in single and small batches. In the past, for a long time, it has not been solved satisfactorily. In particular, parts with complex machining shapes and high machining precision requirements have been in a state of standstill on an automated road. Although some application of the profiling device has solved a part, it has been proved that the profiling lathe cannot completely solve this problem.

The emergence of CNC lathes (machine tools) has opened up a broad road to fundamentally solve this problem, so it has become an important development direction in machining.
